The following Privacy Policy applies to the usage of the website www.mc-gentics.com (hereinafter referred to as the “website”).

We attach great importance to data protection. The collection and processing of your personal data are carried out in compliance with the valid data protection regulations, in particular the European General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as “GDPR (EU)”. We collect and process your personal data in order to be able to offer you the aforementioned portal. This Privacy Policy describes how and for what purpose your data will be used and which options you can select in connection with personal information.

§ 1 Information about the Collection of Personal Data

  1. Below we provide information about the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data is all information that is personally related to you, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behavior.

§ 4 Collection of Personal Data when Contacting us

When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data provided by you (your e-mail address, title, your surname and first name, your address and your phone number) will be stored by us to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context after the storage is no longer necessary or restrict the processing if statutory retention obligations apply. Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para.1 Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR (EU) on the basis of your voluntary consent by entering your data.
  2. When you make a product request on our website, the data (your e-mail address, title, your surname and first name, your address and your phone number) you provide us with will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your product enquiry. We will delete the data arising in this context after the storage is no longer necessary or restrict the processing if statutory retention obligations apply. Data processing for the purpose of dealing with the product request is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para.1 Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR (EU) since processing is required for performing pre-contractual activities in response to your request.

§5 Cookies

  1. In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk assigned to the browser you use and through which certain information flows to the site that sets the cookie (in this case by us). Cookies cannot run any programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve the purpose of making the Internet offering more user-friendly and more effectively in general. 
  2. Using Cookies:

a)   This website uses persistent cookies, whose scope and functionality are explained below: Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a defined duration that may vary depending on the cookie. You may delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser anytime.

b)   You can configure your browser setting according to your wishes and e.g. refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website.



The tool we use is based on the technology of Snowplow Analytics. The data we collect regarding the use of our website includes, for example, how often users visit the website or which areas are visited. The tool we use does not collect any personal data and is only used by our web hosting provider and service provider to improve our own offering.

§ 6 Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)

To ensure that our content is displayed correctly and graphically appealing in any browser, we use script and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts) for this website. Google Web Fonts are cached in your browser so they only need to be loaded once. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or denies access, the content will be displayed in a default font.

  • When you access script or font libraries, a connection to the library operator is automatically set up. It is theoretically possible that this operator may collect data. At present, it is not known whether and for what purpose the operators of the respective libraries actually collect data.

§ 7 Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

It can happen that within our pages third party content, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") are aware of the IP address of the users. Without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We make every effort to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on this if the third-party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. As far as we are aware of this, we inform the users about it.
